Giro d´Italia 2020 – Stage 21 preview

We end with a time trial.
A 15km bash through the streets of Milan. This is a course for the powerful riders of the bunch, we have hardly any corners to worry about.
Weather
Nice and sunny, with hardly any wind.
Pink Jersey
Unless Tao gets a mechanical, he will win the pink jersey.
Contenders
Pippo Ganna – going for his fourth stage win, what an amazing achievement that would be. Given the power he has on the flat, it is very hard to see how he doesn’t win this stage, only bad luck can stop him.
Rohan Dennis – he’s ridden into some cracking form, especially in this final week. He’ll hope to get close to his teammate, he is the only rider capable of beating Ganna, but that will take a herculean performance, especially considering how deep he’s gone in the last few stages.
Anyone else – the likes of De Gendt, Černy, Campenaerts, Bjerg and Sobrero will hope that the Ineo boys are tired after working hard in the last few stages. If Ganna shows some fatigue, there is a chance of an upset.
Prediction Time
Another win for Pippo Ganna, and the pink jersey for Tao Geoghegan Hart.
