Sagan gana en Fort Collins(clasificaciones completas y fotos)

Peter Sagan se impuso en la sexta etapa del USA Pro Challenge que se disputa en Colorado, 185.4 kilómetros entre Loveland y Fort Collins en los que batió a Mezgec y Van Avermaet, consiguiendo así su tercer parcial en la presente edición.

Antes, una numerosa escapada animó la jornada que cerca estuvo de ser para Sutherland, quién trató de sorprender e el final y anticipar el sprint, aunque finalmente el eslovaco de Cannondale logró la victoria.

Con estos resultados, Tejay Van Garderen está a horas de ser campeón, ya que sólo resta disputarse la última etapa, 75.8 kilómetros llanos con salida y llegada en Denver en el la que los embaladores tendrán el protagonismo.

Los latinos tuvieron protagonismo en el final, con Edwin Avila, cuarto en el sprint, quién dejó interesantes expresiones tras concluir la faena: “es mi primer año en la ruta y estoy cada vez más cerca del triunfo.Esto es todo aprendizaje“, empezó. “Fue un embalaje peligroso, por ser de Colombia no nos dejan entrar…se piensan que sólo subimos“, cerró el sprinter cafetero.

Por su parte, el mexicano Luis Lemus, también se expresó: “fue un día exigente, todos querían estar en la escapada; gastamos mucha energía en el inicio, y sufrí mucho por mis heridas de la caída previa, pero el balance es positivo y mañana hay otra opción“, dijo el azteca.
